Why It's Important to Have Professional Photographs

It's important to know that each hour of photography requires another 1-2 hours of processing to make them ready for you to see. So when you book a 4 hour half-day session, I'll be busy working about another 6-8 hours to make the photos ready to review, and that's before the additional time to hand retouch each print that you later select to display in your home.

Each print that I create for you is an ‘art-print’. It is not a quick print sent to one of the least expensive photo processors. My images are hand retouched then printed through labs that work exclusively with professional photographers. This helps ensure the absolute best print and mounting results are produced for you. The care and artistic style that I put input each image will create a lasting, wonderful photograph worthy of the time and expense taken to capture the image in the first place. After all, the shared goal for your photography is to make spectacular, passionate photographs so that you can display your special memories

When you select your preferred photos they need to be digitally retouched to ensure key elements are correct: color, contrast, eyes clarity, softening, cropping, and even certain special effects are important in giving your image more personality and quality. Then it’s time to print, mount or create gorgeous albums with the photos. When this step occurs is essential to make sure the colors are properly replicated by the photo lab. This is done through color calibration and test printing between myself and the lab. Then when printed, a protective finish is also added to aid in longevity of your important photography. Only this professional process can guarantee a professional result.

But perhaps the hardest part is deciding which of the many photos to retouch and print, and in what size. The part I leave up to you, but I can always offer suggestions.
